Northern Area Judo Teams gain National Team medals

A number of the Northern Area Judo Teams competed at the British Judo National Team Championships held in Kendal over the weekend (14th/15th June 2008). Ronnie Scott (Chair of British Judo Association’s Northern Area) explains that the Teams and their Coaches had prepared throughout the year in their own Clubs and in the Area Squad sessions for this big event in the Judo world. The successes achieved in these National Team Championships are testimony to the quality of coaching and development in our BJA Northern Area Judo Clubs. The players have everything to work for as we build our campaign towards challenging for places in the British Teams for London 2012. The Northern Area has never been so successful in these Championships and this is a high quality indicator of the ambition of our Players, Coaches, and Clubs.
